BSNL has successfully validated a 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) model in collaboration with Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Ltd. (BCSSL), marking an important step in its 5G rollout strategy. The validation was carried out in a live network environment to assess speed, latency, and network stability.
The 5G FWA model aims to deliver high-speed wireless broadband without fiber, making it suitable for areas where wired connectivity is difficult or costly to deploy. During the testing phase, the network demonstrated stable performance, meeting BSNL’s technical requirements.
Following the successful validation, BSNL is now preparing for a commercial rollout of 5G FWA services. BCSSL, as an authorised partner, is expected to play a key role in deployment and execution.
Industry observers believe this move could help BSNL expand broadband access, especially in rural and semi-urban regions, while strengthening competition in India’s growing 5G ecosystem.
